Fun Summer Activities at the Waterfront

The Waterfront Festival is the perfect way to spend a day and see something different for Fathers Day without going to far from home.

Make the weekend of June 14th-16th a family day activity.  Celebrate Fathers Day in a unique way that will keep everyone entertained.
The Mississauga Waterfront Festival offers:
·       Live performers and dancing for everyone
·       A culinary corner with free samples!
·       Carnival rides and a bubble tower
·       Classic car show
·       A treasure hunt in a giant sandbox for the kids
·       And more.

Spent the weekend outside in Port Credit and embrace the waterfront that is so close to home.  Spoil dad with something different and free at the same time, you can’t go wrong (unless it rains of coarse)!

Check out the Mississauga Waterfront Festival website at http://www.themwf.com/ to see everything that’s going on and the schedule of fun summer activities so you don’t miss a thing.
Less than 20 days to go!

What will be your first stop at the Waterfront Festival?

Children day activity: Fireworks at VIC Johnston for Canada Day

The fireworks at VIC Johnston for Canada Day are the ultimate family day activity. I’d like to outline the great experience at this event.

Vic Johnston Arena will be celebrating Canada Day. I attended this festival last year and it was a blast and one of the fun summer activities.
The event started earlier on in the evening because they hosted many fun summer activities like crafts, face painting and fake tattoos. They also had a nice BBQ to fill our hungry stomachs after such a fun family day activity. I really enjoyed it and would suggest this experience for the family. The kids really enjoy the fireworks that light up the sky I believe they start around 9:30 – 10 pm. It is definitely an event that should not be missed- it’s Canada Day!

How many of you have been to Vic Johnston Arena for Canada Day? What are your opinions on this family day activity?

Fun Summer Activities- Who’s Going To Carassauga?

Take your chance to experience a taste of Brasil, Jamaica, Africa, Egypt and more.  Carassauga is a great way to embrace other cultures and is full of kid activities for the summer. Take the entire family out and open their eyes to new cultures they have never seen.

The Kids Zone is offering:
·       Mini golf
·       An interactive multicultural mural
·       Gymnastics
·       And more                                                                        Adapted from http://carassuaga.com
That will keep the kids busy and as for fun summer activities for everyone else, Carssauga offers:
·       28 pavilions featuring different countries
·       A marketplace
·       A live music show feature the sounds of Tina Turner
·       And more
So experience something new with a world of cultures all in one place so close to home. Enjoy the different foods, music, dance and clothing. Learn something new and appreciate what the world has to offer. It will settle the travel bug in you without having to buy a plane ticket.

So I ask again, who’s going to Carassauga this summer?
